The KOBO Thunder AXE Infinity is a control-forward, all-court performance paddle that combines an 18mm DuraCore, raw 3K carbon, a SoftPlex surface, and three aerodynamic air channels. It is designed for experienced players who want fast handling, refined touch, reliable stability, and power when they accelerate through the ball.
Most pickleball paddles use a conventional solid shape. Thunder AXE uses three strategically positioned air channels and an aerodynamic profile to create a lighter, quicker swing feel. The 18mm construction adds dwell time and stability, while the carbon structure supports confident energy transfer.
Thunder AXE is best described as a control-forward hybrid paddle. Its 18mm core supports touch, resets, forgiveness, and placement, while its carbon construction provides power when the player supplies a full, committed swing. It is not designed as an excessively poppy paddle.

Do not use detergent, cleaning solutions, alcohol, solvents, bleach, Magic Erasers or abrasive pads. Never sand, scrape, polish or refinish the paddle face.
Gently wipe with warm water and a clean microfiber cloth. Do not use the KOBO Carbon Paddle Cleaner on either Thunder AXE variant. This exception applies even if a general carbon-fiber cleaning guide suggests a cleaner.
Avoid scraping the surface or trying to restore texture with abrasive products. Contact support if cleaning does not resolve your concern.
The dry KOBO Carbon Paddle Cleaner can be rubbed on the paddle face to remove debris on Hydro G4, Scorch G4, Tsunami, Thunder 3K, T700, Scorch 12K, Lightning and Hydro 16mm. Use it dry. It is not a liquid cleaning solution.
The Thunder AXE Silver and Gold are excluded. If you are unsure of your model, confirm it before using the cleaner. Plain water remains the only wet-cleaning method.
Plain-water wiping is an approved cleaning method. It does not mean the paddle should be soaked or submerged.
Replace worn or damaged tape. Tape helps limit cosmetic edge wear but cannot prevent all impact damage.

The tape can be used on other current KOBO paddles, but these videos are not model-specific instructions for those paddles.
Keep the handle clean and dry, especially after sweaty play. Replace a grip when it becomes worn or slippery. KOBO does not currently sell separate replacement grips or overgrips.
Inspect the face, edge and handle for damage or loose parts. If you notice structural damage, loose components or unusual rattling, stop using the paddle and contact support for assessment.
Practice serves, forehand and backhand drives, resets, volleys, dinks, speed-ups and your usual spin shots. Watch where the ball lands and adjust your swing and follow-through for your preferred placement. Work toward consistent sequences, such as ten dinks in a row.
Use this practice session to build familiarity with your new paddle and adjust your shots.
