KOBO Sports Product Warranty Policy

12-Month Limited Manufacturer Warranty for Eligible KOBO Paddles — Worldwide

KOBO Sports LLC ("KOBO") warrants eligible KOBO pickleball paddles against qualifying defects in materials and workmanship when the paddle is used for its intended purpose under normal use and conditions, subject to the terms, exclusions, evidence requirements, and claim procedures below.

This limited warranty is separate from KOBO's Return & Refund Policy. It is not a trial period or satisfaction guarantee. Customer preference, change of mind, or dissatisfaction with a paddle's feel or playing characteristics is not a warranty claim.

1. Warranty Period

Eligible KOBO pickleball paddles are covered for 12 months from the date the original purchaser receives the original purchased paddle.

The warranty applies only during the stated warranty period and is subject to all requirements and exclusions in this policy.

Warranty coverage for other KOBO product categories, if offered, may be stated separately on the applicable product page, packaging, or product-specific warranty terms.

2. Worldwide Warranty Coverage

KOBO's 12-Month Limited Paddle Warranty applies worldwide to eligible original purchasers, subject to this policy and applicable law.

Worldwide coverage does not eliminate the customer's responsibility to provide proof of purchase when required or to comply with KOBO's warranty claim and return procedures.

3. Who Is Covered

This limited warranty applies only to the original purchaser of an eligible new KOBO paddle purchased directly from KOBO or from an authorized KOBO retailer or dealer.

The warranty is non-transferable.

Used, secondhand, resale, or pre-owned purchases are not covered unless mandatory law requires otherwise.

KOBO may require reasonable proof that the claimant is the original purchaser.

4. Warranty Registration and Proof of Purchase

Paddles purchased directly from KOBO are automatically covered. No separate warranty registration is required.

Paddles purchased from an authorized KOBO retailer or dealer do not require separate warranty registration; however, the original purchaser must provide valid proof of purchase when submitting a warranty claim.

Proof of purchase should reasonably identify the original purchaser, authorized seller, product, and purchase date.

Purchases from unauthorized sellers or purchases made in used or secondhand condition are not eligible for this limited warranty unless required by applicable law.

5. What the Limited Warranty Covers

Subject to review and approval, this warranty covers qualifying manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship that materially affect the paddle's intended use.

Examples may include a verified structural or manufacturing failure attributable to materials or workmanship rather than normal use, impact, abuse, alteration, improper care, or ordinary wear.

Missing parts or components attributable to a verified manufacturing or fulfillment issue may be addressed by KOBO under the appropriate warranty or fulfillment procedure.

The existence of a mark, sound, cosmetic change, performance preference, or customer concern does not by itself establish a manufacturing defect.

6. What Is Not Covered

Normal wear and tear from ordinary play, including expected wear to the playing surface, grip, edge, graphics, and other exposed or consumable areas.

Scratches, scuffs, abrasions, chips, dents, edge damage, or other damage caused by contact with the court, ground, net post, another paddle, another hard surface, or other external impact.

Damage caused by throwing, striking, smashing, crushing, running over, dropping, or otherwise subjecting the paddle to abnormal force or impact.

Damage caused by misuse, negligence, abuse, accident, improper care, improper storage, or failure to follow KOBO care instructions.

Damage caused by prolonged exposure to excessive heat, including storage in a hot vehicle, or exposure to freezing or near-freezing conditions where such exposure may damage paddle materials.

Water immersion or damage caused by pools, ponds, excessive moisture, or other inappropriate environmental exposure.

Fading, discoloration, cosmetic changes, or ordinary changes in appearance that do not constitute a qualifying manufacturing defect.

Damage or performance changes caused by unauthorized modification, drilling, sanding, cutting, structural alteration, unauthorized repair, or other processes that materially affect the paddle.

Products used for commercial rental or applications outside normal personal sporting use where excluded by KOBO's published terms.

Products purchased used, secondhand, from an unauthorized seller, or by a person who is not the original purchaser.

Customer preference or dissatisfaction concerning feel, weight, balance, swingweight, sound, power, control, spin, stiffness, sweet spot, playing style, or other subjective performance characteristics.

Damage resulting from use outside the product's intended purpose.

7. Normal Wear vs. Manufacturing Defect

Pickleball paddles are sporting equipment and naturally experience cosmetic and functional wear through normal play.

Normal wear does not become a manufacturing defect merely because it occurs during the warranty period.

KOBO will evaluate the location, pattern, severity, age, use history, photographs, video, and other available evidence when determining whether a reported condition is consistent with a covered manufacturing defect or with wear, impact, misuse, or another excluded cause.

A customer's description of a condition as a defect does not by itself determine warranty eligibility.

8. Customer Preference Is Not a Defect

This limited warranty is not a satisfaction guarantee or trial program.

A paddle is not defective simply because a customer prefers a different weight, balance, feel, sound, power level, control level, swing characteristic, or playing style.

Return requests for eligible new, unused products are governed separately by KOBO's Return & Refund Policy. Used paddles cannot be converted into return-eligible products by characterizing a preference issue as a warranty defect.

9. How to Submit a Warranty Claim

Customers should contact KOBO Customer Support at customer.support@kobopickleball.com.

The customer should provide the order number or valid proof of purchase, purchaser name and contact information, paddle model, a clear description of the reported problem, and clear photographs showing the condition.

KOBO may request additional photographs, video, measurements, packaging information, usage information, or other reasonable evidence needed to evaluate the claim.

Submitting a warranty claim does not constitute approval.

10. Warranty Review and Investigation

KOBO will review the information and evidence supplied by the customer together with available order and product information.

KOBO may request additional evidence or require the paddle to be returned for physical inspection before making or completing a final warranty determination.

Customers must retain the original paddle until KOBO provides final instructions. Customers should not dispose of, destroy, alter, repair, or further damage a paddle that is the subject of an open warranty claim.

KOBO may deny a claim when the available evidence reasonably demonstrates that the condition is excluded from warranty coverage or when the customer does not provide information reasonably necessary to evaluate the claim.

11. Return of Paddle for Warranty Inspection

If KOBO requires a paddle to be returned, KOBO will provide the authorized return instructions and return address.

Customers must not send a warranty product to an address found on a shipping label, website footer, company registration, search engine, or previous return unless KOBO specifically authorizes that address for the current claim.

Customers are responsible for packaging the paddle securely and following KOBO's authorized return instructions.

KOBO may inspect and document the returned paddle before making or completing the warranty determination.

12. Return Shipping for Approved Manufacturing-Defect Claims

When KOBO approves a qualifying manufacturing-defect warranty claim and requires the defective paddle to be returned, KOBO will pay or reimburse reasonable return shipping costs, provided the customer follows KOBO's authorized return instructions and shipping method.

Customers should not independently select an unusually expensive or expedited return service and expect reimbursement unless KOBO approved that service in advance.

This warranty-shipping rule is separate from ordinary new/unused returns under KOBO's Return & Refund Policy, for which the customer remains responsible for return shipping unless KOBO expressly states otherwise.

13. Warranty Remedies

If KOBO determines that a claim is covered, KOBO may, at its discretion and subject to applicable law, replace the defective paddle or component with the same model, or with a product or component of comparable function or value if the original is unavailable.

A warranty replacement is a remedy for a covered defect and is not a refund or ordinary product exchange.

KOBO does not provide both a refund and a warranty replacement for the same covered product unless KOBO expressly authorizes an exception or applicable law requires otherwise.

Cash refunds are not the standard remedy under this limited warranty unless required by applicable law or specifically approved by KOBO.

14. Warranty Coverage for Replacement Paddles

A warranty replacement paddle does not begin a new 12-month warranty period.

The replacement paddle remains covered only for the remaining portion of the original purchased paddle's 12-month warranty period.

Example: if the original paddle was received on January 1 and a warranty replacement is provided on June 1, the replacement remains covered only through the original warranty expiration date.

Providing a warranty replacement does not extend or restart the original warranty period unless applicable law requires otherwise.

15. Unauthorized Modifications and Repairs

Unauthorized structural modifications or repairs that cause or contribute to the reported condition may void warranty coverage for that condition.

Routine removable accessories or customary non-structural personalization should not automatically invalidate unrelated warranty coverage unless the modification caused, contributed to, concealed, or prevented proper evaluation of the claimed defect.

KOBO may request that removable accessories be removed when necessary for inspection.

16. Warranty Fraud and Abuse

KOBO reserves the right, to the extent permitted by law, to deny or further investigate claims involving materially false statements, altered evidence, intentional damage, misrepresentation of product condition, substituted products, repeated abusive claims, or other suspected warranty fraud.

KOBO may preserve photographs, order records, returned-product inspection records, and customer communications as evidence of its warranty determination.

17. Relationship to Returns, Shipping, and Promotions

Warranty claims are governed by this Warranty Policy. Standard returns for eligible new, unused products are governed by KOBO's Return & Refund Policy.

Shipping damage, lost shipments, and delivered-but-not-received claims may initially be governed by KOBO's Shipping Policy rather than this warranty.

Promotional items and free gifts are governed by KOBO's Return & Refund Policy and applicable promotion terms. They are not returnable under KOBO's promotional-item rule and are not converted into returnable items because they accompanied a paddle purchase.

18. Limitation of Remedy and Applicable Law

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, KOBO's obligation under this limited warranty is limited to the remedies expressly stated in this policy.

KOBO is not responsible under this limited warranty for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages to the extent such limitations are permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, or modifies rights or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted, or modified.

19. Contact KOBO

For warranty assistance, customers should contact KOBO Customer Support at customer.support@kobopickleball.com.

Please include the order number or proof of purchase and photographs of the reported condition to help KOBO review the claim efficiently.

20. Policy Updates

KOBO may update this Warranty Policy from time to time. The warranty terms applicable to a purchase will be determined by the version applicable to that transaction, subject to mandatory law.

Policy updates do not retroactively remove warranty rights that have already vested under applicable law.
