For players building a more controlled game.

Consider the Hydro if you want to develop softer dinks, more deliberate placement and spin-led shots. It’s also an option for players moving beyond a basic starter paddle who want to explore the feel of a carbon surface.

Choose by feel as well as features: the listed 7.9–8.1 oz weight and 4.25-inch grip circumference should suit your hand and swing.

Give every shot a purpose.

The T700 carbon friction surface is designed for ball grip. The 16mm polymer honeycomb core supports touch and response, while thermoformed construction and foam-injected sidewalls support stability on impact.

That makes the Hydro worth considering if your priority is a balance of placement, touch and attacking options.

Build confidence, one drill at a time.

• For softer dinks: use a relaxed grip and a short, controlled motion. Practise landing the ball in a kitchen target.
• For spin: practise a consistent low-to-high swing path and contact point. The textured face supports your technique.
• For resets: keep the paddle out front, soften your hands and work on absorbing pace into the kitchen.

Equipment supports practice. Results depend on technique, fit and consistent play.
